DOUBLE GOLD FOR THE MILLBROOK SYNCHRONIZED SKATING TEAM in 2025/2026!
The Millbrook Shooting Stars Synchronized Skating Team is celebrating an outstanding achievement in just their second
competitive season. Skating out of the Millbrook Skating Club and led by Synchro Coach Jody Jones, the team has demonstrated
exceptional growth, dedication, and teamwork.
Competing in the Star 4 Over 12 Division, the Millbrook Shooting Stars earned gold medals at both of their competitions this season
— Synchro Series #2 in Kingston on January 25, 2026, and Synchro Series #3 in Oakville on February 8, 2026. The team faced strong
competition from well-established clubs representing Whitby, Brampton, Barrie, East York, London, and Amherstburg.
This season’s success reflects the teams consistent hard work, positive attitudes, and commitment at every practice. Their efforts
translated into confident performances featuring clean formations, strong organization, and polished presentation. Their enthusiasm and
team spirit were evident each time they took the ice.
The Millbrook Shooting Stars Synchronized Skating Team is currently welcoming new skaters to join and continue building on this
momentum.
Congratulations to the Millbrook Shooting Stars on a remarkable double-gold season!
Our STARSKATE Synchro team is open to STARSkaters 2+ who are new to Synchro and also to skaters from other clubs with prior Synchro experience.
Synchronized skating, sometimes called synchro, is an ice skating sport where between 8 and 16 skaters perform together as a team.
They move as a flowing unit at high speed over the ice, while performing elements and footwork.
This complex sport originated in 1956 and was initially called "precision skating" due to its emphasis on the maintenance of intricate
and precise formations and the requirement of precise timing from all members of the group. Synchronized skating is now well-
established as an organized sport in several European countries with several of them having produced teams who frequently win
championships at the international level.
