Millbrook Skating Club's NCCP Certified Professional Coaches 

Melissa Davidson (Armstrong)

Melissa has been a member of the MSC for 30+ years - first as a skater at the age of 5, then as a Program Assistant and now as a Coach. Melissa started coaching in Millbrook when she was 19 (20+ years now). She has instructed skaters from the Pre-CanSkate to the STARskate level. Melissa will be coaching CanSkate and StarSkate for the fall and winter session and assisting with other programs as needed.

 
 
(Kelly) Dorothea Hines
 
After a 6 year break, Kelly started skating with the MSC again in 2016 in addition to taking on more roles and pursuing her coaching certification. She has coached PreCan, CanSkate, STARskate, and Off-ice Training. She will be returning to coach CanSkate and StarSkate.
 
 
Leanne Pilon

 

Leanne is a National Certified Skate Canada coach with more than 30 years of coaching experience. Throughout her career she has been dedicated to developing high-quality skating programs while coaching skaters at the PreCanSkate, CanSkate and StarSkate levels. Leanne believes that every skater deserves to feel supported, encouraged, and challenged in a positive learning environment where they can grow both on and off the ice.
 
 
Jody Jones
 

As a full-time professional skating coach for over 35 years, Jody brings an extensive background in synchronized skating, choreography and edges/power/skating development. Jody has coached synchronized teams at the local, national and international level, with 9 national championships. As a leader in the sport, Jody has participated in numerous international coach/skater seminars. Her vision is to inspire young skaters to develop a love for synchronized skating. "At first you are a part of it, then it becomes a part of you."

 

Piper Hagerman 

Piper started her coaching career in 2021 and became CanSkate certified in 2022. She continued to further her coaching by taking her regional coaching course at the beginning of 2023. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science and Psychology at Trent University. Piper is  returning this season to coach in our CanSkate and STARSkate Programs. 

 

Mikayla Dundas

Mikayla is a new Canskate coach and will be coaching our Monday and Thursday night CanSkate Stages 1-2 program.  She has been a valued PA with our club for many years and is also one of our Starskaters and member of our Star Synchro team.
