Millbrook Skating Club's NCCP Certified Professional Coaches

Melissa Davidson (Armstrong)

I have been a member of the MSC for 30+ years - first as a skater at the age of 5, then as a Program Assistant and now as a Coach. I started coaching in Millbrook when I was 19 (20+ years now). I have instructed skaters from the Pre-CanSkate to the STARskate level. I will be coaching StarSkate for the fall and winter session. Looking forward to another great year!

(Kelly) Dorothea Hines

After a 6 year break, I started skating with the MSC again in 2016 in addition to taking on more roles and pursuing my coaching certification. I have coached PreCan, CanSkate, STARskate, and Off-ice Training. I will be returning to coach CanSkate and StarSkate.

Heather Boyd

Heather joins our club for a third season for our Thursday CanSkate 1-2 session and our Starskate session. She has coached with many neighbouring clubs and brings a wealth of knowledge and fun to our club.

Piper Hagerman

I started my coaching career in 2021 and became CanSkate certified in 2022. I continued to further my coaching by taking my regional coaching course at the beginning of 2023.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science and Psychology at Trent University. I am looking forward to being back on the ice coaching and I’m excited to see

what MSC has to offer.

Jody Jones

As a full-time professional skating coach for over 35 years, Jody brings an extensive background in synchronized skating, choreography and edges/power/skating development. Jody has coached synchronized teams at the local, national and international level, with 9 national championships. As a leader in the sport, Jody has participated in numerous international coach/skater seminars. Her vision is to inspire young skaters to develop a love for synchronized skating. "At first you are a part of it, then it becomes a part of you."
