Protocols Notes
Health screenings for all skaters and spectators |
All program participants, including coaches and on-ice volunteers, are required to answer passive screening questions upon arrival to the facility. Posters, with screening questions, are located at the entrance of the facility. |
Social distancing in the facility is required and recommended on the ice |
A minimum of 2 meters (6 feet) distance is required in the facility A minimum of 2 meters distance is recommended on the ice Flow patterns will be marked to aid with social distancing including a separate entrance (east side) and exit (west side) |
Skaters and guardians can access the building 30 minutes prior to their session start time |
Skaters have 30 minutes to change and exit the building after their session |
Masks are required in the facility and recommend on the ice surface |
Coaches will wear a mask on the ice if less than 2 meters from skaters |
Use of props will be minimized |
Props will be reduced to only plastic props (easy to sanitize) and markers (for drawing on the ice surface) All props will be sanitized after each skating session |
Limited hands-on coaching |
All skating lessons will be delivered with limited hands-on coaching Coaches will wear a mask if less than 2 meters from skaters |
