Millbrook Skating Club's NCCP Certified Professional Coaches
Melissa Davidson (Armstrong)
I have been a member of the MSC for 30+ years - first as a skater at the age of 5, then as a Program Assistant and now as a Coach. I started coaching in Millbrook when I was 19 (20 years now). I have instructed skaters from the Pre-CanSkate to the STARskate level. I will be coaching StarSkate for the fall and winter session. Looking forward to another great year!
(Kelly) Dorothea Hines
After a 6 year break, I started skating with the MSC again in 2016 in addition to taking on more roles and pursuing my coaching certification. I have coached PreCan, CanSkate, STARskate, and Off-ice Training. I will be returning to coach CanSkate and StarSkate.
Heather Boyd
Heather joins our club for a second season for our Thursday CanSkate 1-2 session and our Starskate session. She has coached with many neighbouring clubs and brings a wealth of knowledge and fun to our club.
Mona Hood (Gibney)
Over the past 32 years I have instructed skaters from all levels of Canskate, Powerskating to testing at the Gold Level with Whitby, Newcastle, Orono, Blackstock and Bowmanville. Although I truly enjoy singles skating my real passion has always been Synchronized Skating. For 14 years I skated on various level teams winning several National Championships over that time. As a Professional Synchronized Skating instructor I have worked with teams of many levels with great success but first and foremost my goal is to always make it fun, see progress, and make lasting memories for all involved!
Piper Hagerman
I started my coaching career in 2021 and became CanSkate certified in 2022. I continued to further my coaching by taking my regional coaching course at the beginning of 2023.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science and Psychology at Trent University. I am looking forward to being back on the ice coaching and I’m excited to see
what MSC has to offer.
